Figures are for a stated year
Tuition, fee, housing and cost-of-attendance figures on this site are for the 2026–27 academic year unless a different year is stated. They come from published University of Michigan sources, listed on each page. The Board of Regents sets new rates each June, and the university may change rates, fees or policies at any time. The official figures are the ones published by the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Financial Aid.
Calculator estimates
The cost calculator on the home page multiplies published per-term rates and adds published budget items. Its results are estimates. They do not include course or program fees, changes in future years, your actual housing or travel costs, or any financial aid. Your bill and your aid offer from the university are what count.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, tax or admissions advice. Residency decisions depend on individual facts and are made only by the university’s Residency Classification Office.
